gallery art pieces for a fraction of market cost

This site is a compilation of several different works of art that I "inherited" as a result of years and years of work in an art gallery.  The gallery was located in the art and fashion district in North Miami Beach, and the clients represent a "who's who" of the rich and famous.  These works represent artists of different styles, backgrounds, and exhibits. 

Inasmuch as I no longer work in a gallery, and my home is much too small to display these pieces, I am forced to offer them for sale.  These works represent significant values, as there is no longer the "overhead" associated with the gallery.   Each of these pieces was displayed in the gallery, and most of the similar works have been sold.  I have been lucky enough to acquire these pieces, and now offer them at a fraction of their price when they were in the gallery .  The list prices I have shown are representative of the prices when they were in the gallery, and many, many, were sold at these prices.

GERMANO RUSSO  

Born in Florence, Italy 1935.

Majored in fresco & mural art and the history of art at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Florence where he received his Masters Degree in 1958.  He was chosen to represent young Italian art at the humanities session Salzburg working professionally since 1958 russo has been widely exhibited and is in featured collections all over the world.

In 1958 Russo came to the United States and for one year was the New York correspondent for the Italian National News Agency for the next two years he taught art and art history at the Catan-Rose Institute of Art Jamaica New York.

From 1961 he has devoted himself solely to his painting and is married to Bernadette whose art is in the permanent collection at the White House Washington DC.

LEVIER

Charles Levier, the highly successful French painter, was born in Corsica in 1920.

At age seventeen he entered the Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Arts Decoratifs for Private Studies. During World War II Levier served in the French Army in North Africa, later becoming liaison officer with the United States and France preparing for his first one-man show at the Galerie Constantine in Lyons in 1949, followed by his American debut in Los Angeles in 1950. in 1955 another major exhibit at the Galerie de Colisee in Paris brought him to the attention of renowned, Dr. Lilienfeld who presented Levier's works at the Vandieman Lilienfeld Gallery in New York City.

E. Benezit dictionary vol. 6, page 630, confirms Levier's solid price structure. In 1961 his works auctioned from $900 to $1500. in 1991, Mayer International Auction Records and Galerie Dame Blanche Paris sold Levier Paintings from $12,000 to $14,000.

SIDERIS,STEPHANOS

Born in Athens, Greece, 1921.

Receiving his education at the E.O.N. Art School,  he was awarded first prize for the Attica Messagion Competition. His father discouraged his pursuit of art and prevailed upon Stephanos to study economics at the University of Athens where he received his B.A.

Never forsaking his art he continued his studies followed by three successful exhibitions in Athens, Salonica, and Pireaus.   Recognized by the press his reviews in 'Provoli' reported "Sideris is an artist who will achieve great heights."

In 1961 an exhibition at the Gallery of Art in Athens earned him praise from renowned art critic, Constantopolous who claimed Sideris destined for success

In 1963 following acclaimed exhibitions in Italy he was shown at Koroplin in Athens where Kessaris, art critic for Iolocos wrote, "in the work of Stephanos Sideris, artists may see what can be achieved by a true artist when he joins his soul to his talent. "

BERNADEAU

Born in Paris, France 1934.

At an early age he demonstrated a unique artistic ability which brought him not only acclaim but a scholarship at the world renown Beaux Arts. Critics have lavished Bernadeau with enormous praise for his dramatic, expressive work.  He is able to capture and interpret florals with luminous colors that have made him sought after by countless collectors. His future is destined for success considering his previous recognition and record accomplishments throughout the United States and Europe

BERNADETTE

The wife of renowned painter, Germano Russo. Her work is featured at the White House Washington DC. Bernadette's highly regarded radiant portraiture of young mothers and children seated in sun dappled gardens, porches and patios reflects a serene, innocent age.

PEYRAT

Born st. Germain es belles in 1911.  Influenced and encouraged by his famous cousin Maurice Uttrilo, Peyrat slowly developed his own style unaffected by his academic training. From his first exhibit in LImogess in 1948 instant recognition and success followed in 1950 at Angouleme and Royan in 1953. Presented by the Honorable Consul General of France, art expert, Frederic Stern and United Press International. Peyrat's Paris Exhibitions in 1958 and 1961 established him as one of France's Leading Artists. His highly acclaimed American Exhibit in 1968 was reported by the media...

WALTER ERES

Born in Australia 1948. His mother, the noted painter eugena v. Eres won the highest award at Escola do Belas Artes, Sao Paulo Brazil. Walter Eres studied at the Brooklyn Museum Art School and the National Academy of Art winning the New York University Scholarship. A prodigy at thirteen, Walter Eres is now sought after by prominent galleries for his outstanding still life, sea, and landscapes

COLAO

An American artist of note and a resident of New England. He studied at the Art Students League with Frank Dumont. He is a member of the National Arts Club the Hudson River Arts Association.  A grand prize and gold medallist of w.w.o.a.e. an exhibitor at the American Artists Professional League. His beautiful florals, still-life, and landscapes are nationally recognized and sought after by discerning collectors both in the United States and abroad.

ATLANTA KRAWOR

Heralded in France in 1930's for her gifted ability to capture in oil the lush French countryside and the charm of children at play. Each of her paintings provides the viewer with a tranquility and esthetic quality her florals are reminiscent of Monet.

GROSSMAN

STRASKI

Unfortunately this very talented artist spent his teen years in a Nazi Concentration Camp.

His work reflects only the rabbis of his youth who taught him violin, cello, and the torah remembrances of these men helped keep Straski's sanity during the ordeal of inhumane incarceration. Whenever possible he saved small pieces of scrap paper and made thumbnail sketches of his beloved teachers who he vowed would never be forgotten.

Straski's poignant portraiture of these men are owned and treasured by many who are not of the Jewish faith who consider a Straski "rabbi" an honour.

LUCIANO RAMPASO

Born in Milan, Italy 1934. Studied at the Academy of Belle Arts Venice he is an artist of unparalleled accomplishment who depicts his beloved cities of the world, old haunts, and favorite by-ways of Europe. Since 1970 he resides in Great Britain traveling extensively painting scenic splendors with vivacity and luminosity. DONALD PURDY

Born in 1924, Purdy is one of America's most important contemporary artists. MONNARD

Born of European parents he was an outstanding student at the Parsons School of Design New York. While attending school he worked for W and J Sloane and created artistic travel brochures for Pan American Airways. Greatly inspired by the French impressionists and the romantic Belle Epoch. He traveled frequently to Paris, the French Riviera and Italy to continue his studies. Monnard is a highly collectible artist whose works favor musicians and their instruments.
